A Black motorist was stopped without probable cause and forced against his will to submit a blood sample by the Hobbs Police Department. The jury awarded approximately $600,000 for the violation of his Fourth Amendment right to be free from unlawful search and seizure. Attorney’s fees and costs were awarded by the Court.

A Black, homeless pedestrian, allegedly trespassing, was unlawfully beaten and repeatedly tazed by Albuquerque Police Department law enforcement officers. The jury awarded approximately $360,000 for the violation of his Fourth Amendment right to be free from unlawful search and seizure. Attorneys’ fees and costs were awarded by the Court.

During execution of a search warrant, an elderly man was tackled and subdued by a law enforcement officer in violation of his Fourth Amendment right to be free from unlawful search and seizure. The Deputy broke the elderly man’s arm. The case settled for approximately $150,000.

Two Hispanic siblings stopped for a seatbelt violation were tackled, assaulted and sprayed with mace by Albuquerque Police Department law enforcement officers. The jury awarded over $50,000 for the violation of their Fourth Amendment rights to be free from unlawful search and seizure. The Court awarded attorneys’ fees and costs.

A Black man responded to a neighborhood dispute. He was tackled and tazed by Albuquerque Police Department law enforcement officers. The jury awarded approximately $17,000 for the violation of his Fourth Amendment right to be free from unlawful and unconstitutional search and seizure. Attorneys’ fees and costs were awarded by the Court.
